Prepare for the Advanced Certification Examination in Quality Management and increase your knowledge of quality improvement strategies.  Valuable training in Quality Management is provided that may lead to job advancement. Your instructors, Susan M. Sisti and William McAndrew have extensive experience in quality management concepts. Each week new subject areas will the covered extensively using a muti-media approach to teaching. Weekly quizzes will be given to provide practice for the registry examination.

This course is specially designed to prepare the Radiologic Technologist to sit for the Advanced Certification Examination in QUALITY MANAGEMENT. New by the ARRT - ALL advanced exams will be given on a computer at various testing sites throughout the state.  You need to obtain an application from the ARRT to take this exam. Contact the ARRT and request the Handbook for Advanced Level Examinations at:  651-687-0048 .

 

 To receive all 34 credits you must attend every class session per the ASRT requirements

15 of these credits are Mammography Film/Screen Modality Specific

 

Reviewing radiation production, beam characteristics, film processing, physicist QC tests, technologist QC tests as well as processor and imaging system performance standards will be covered. The philosophical basis of Quality Improvement as well as QI problem solving strategies and the tools used in QI analysis will play an important role in this course. An overview of NCRP recommendations, ACR Mammography Standards, OSHA requirements and SMDA will also be provided.
